Patients requiring anesthetic procedures should be fasted before arriving at the hospital. They should not eat after 8 PM the evening prior. No restriction of water is necessary. Surgical and dental patients are admitted daily between 8 AM and 8:30 PM. Patients going home the same day an anesthetic has been administered will be released from 4 PM until 30 minutes before closing ( 5:30 PM most weekdays, 7:30PM on Tuesdays). Patients whose procedures require next day release can go home anytime between 9 AM and 5:30 PM the following day.
